The manager of Cottman Investigation Services – Robyn Cottman is a former Western Australian Police Officer and now fully licenced Private Investigator. Most of her policing career was centred in investigations, covert and intelligence areas. In 2010, Robyn was nominated for Police Officer of the Year and Australian of the Year due to her service to the WA community. With a strong background in criminal law, Robyn is focused on finding the facts.
Not only is Robyn a highly skilled private investigator but she also has a Psychology degree and a Masters of Counselling. With these additional skills in the sensitive areas such as mental health, Robyn has the empathy, sensitivity and understanding needed to obtain the facts in difficult cases. In many situations people are less suspicious of females. Female private investigators can often get closer to their targets, whether they be male or female, in a variety of situations. For example if you suspect your partner being unfaithful, a female agent can approach both males and females in a bar or at the gym, looks less suspicious sitting watching in a car etc. Female intuition is also a very powerful tool!

LEGAL INVESTIGATIONS
With a strong background in, and understanding of, criminal law plus a university degree in Psychology, we are well equipped to help gather facts on a number of legal matters. We are experts in cold case reviews, wrongful convictions and other charges.

COUNSELLING & SUPPORT
We understand in some situations when you get to the point of hiring a PI you’re not in a good place. And that’s why we are now offering counselling and support services.
Robyn has a psychology degree, Master of Counselling and ex-police officer and after working in the private investigation game there is nothing she hasn’t heard, seen or dealt with.
Sometimes you just need a bit of support and guidance to help pick you up again. Whether it be a cheating partner, a narcissistic relationship, going through a legal matter or just not knowing what to do next – we can assist.
The sessions are usually over the phone, 45 – 60min long and payment is required before we start. The first 10min are free of charge and then if you wish to continue credit card payment is accepted.

CORPORATE INVESTIGATIONS
Often in large companies keeping track of all employees can be difficult. Whether it be behavioural concerns, confidentiality breeches or injury claims etc we can assist in obtaining the facts so as you take the necessary action.
We can discuss your workplace concerns in a confidential appointment. If you decide to proceed we will put together a detailed investigation plan for your consideration to meet your objectives.
